Algonquin Man Facing Charges Connected To Woman's Drug Overdose

The Algonquin man faces charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and drug-induced homicide, according to reports.

ALGONQUIN, IL — A bond hearing in McHenry County took place Tuesday for an Algonquin man accused of possessing cocaine in connection with the death of a woman, according to the Northwest Herald. According to the news report, 59-year-old Gregory Galluzzo, of the 100 block of Jefferson Street, is accused of delivering cocaine to a woman on June 16 in an amount that led to her death.

According to McHenry County Sheriff's Office, Galluzzo was arrested Friday and remains at the county jail on $20,000 bond. Court records show Galluzzo faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug-induced homicide, both felonies. A McHenry County Judge set his pretrial hearing date for Sept. 26, court records add.
