Algonquin Police Search For Armed Gas Station Robbery Suspect

Authorities continue to investigate an armed robbery reported at a South Main Street gas station, according to Algonquin police.

ALGONQUIN, IL — The Algonquin Police Department said no one was hurt in a reported armed robbery Sunday night at the Clark Gas Station at 1001 S. Main Street. Algonquin police were called to the business at 7:31 p.m. where according to early investigation, a male suspect dressed in black and wearing a mask came inside, and took out a gun in front of the clerk, a police department news release said. The suspect then took money and ran off, according to the release.

Officers searched the area with help by the Campton Hills Police Department's K9 unit, but did not find the suspect, according to the release.
