Algonquin Police Arrest Woman for Hit and Run; Arrests for Domestic Battery, Retail Theft, DUI

Algonquin Police arrest reports through Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013.

Hit & Run/ Marijuana Possession

Thalia Zapata-Urbina, 20, of the 600 block of W. Bode Circle, Hoffman Estates, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, and charged with leaving the scene, failure to reduce speed, possession of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken into custody at Algonquin and Pyott roads. She posted $150 bond and was released. She is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 4.


Retail Theft

Jennifer A. O’Grady, 29, of the 4400 block of Hilltop Dr., Wonder Lake, was arrested at 5:14 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, and charged with retail theft. She was taken into custody at Gordman’s, 1500 S. Randall Rd. She was released on a notice to appear in court on Nov. 27.

Lisa R. Sweeney, 47, of the 900 block of Hayrack Dr., Algonquin, was arrested at 1:31 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, and charged with retail theft. She was taken into custody at Kohl’s, 734 S. Randall Rd. She posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Nov. 27.

DUI

Thomas G. Neckar, 47, of the 400 block of E. Oak St., Lake in the Hills, wa arrested at 7:04 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed. He was taken into custody in the 100 block of Hanson Rd. He posted $100 and his drivers license for bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 4.


Domestic Violence/ Interfering with Domestic Violence Report

Christos Antonious, 33, of the 500 block of Saratoga Circle, Algonquin, was arrested at 8:46 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, and charged with domestic battery and unlawful interference of the reporting of domestic violence. He was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department. and transported to the McHenry County Jail, where he was awaiting a bond hearing.

Wanted on Warrant

Brittany Abajian, 21, of the 800 block of Houlton Court, Schaumburg, was arrested at 7:29 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, on a warrant out of McHenry County for theft. She was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department. She posted $1,500 bond and was released. She is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 6.


Driving While License Suspended

Daniel R. Hicks, 44, of the 100 block of Church St., Batavia, was arrested at 10:27 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, and charged with driving while license suspended. He was taken into custody at Randall and County Line roads. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 27.
