Box Truck Runs Into Tree, Driver Critically Injured: Police

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A 26-year-old Hanover Park male was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash near Hebron Friday morning.

The collision happened in the 11400 block of Price Road in unincorporated Heron at about 7:15 a.m. on Friday when a 2023 Isuzu Box Truck ran into a tree, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

TOn today’s date, at approximately 7:15 a.m., members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, Alden Hebron Fire Protection District responded to a crash involving a 2023 Isuzu Box Truck and a tree.

A preliminary investigation shows the box truck was headed east on Price Road when it went off the roadway and hit a tree. The driver had to be extricated from the truck and was flown to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville in critical condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
