The collision happened on Miller Road near Route 31 in West Dundee.

KANE COUNTY, IL — The Kane County Coroner's Office has identified a 32-year-old Chicago man who was killed when his semi collided with another semi earlier in the week near West Dundee.

The collision happened at about 7:40 a.m. when a Freightliner semi, which was headed east on Miller Road and approaching Route 31, did not stop for a stop sign and collided with a Mack semi, which was headed south on Route 31 at the time, according to authorities.

The driver of the Freightliner semi, who has been identified as David Brown, 32, of Chicago, was ejected from the cab of his vehicle. The semi, which was hauling sand, rolled and ended up on the north shoulder of the roadway on Route 31, according to a news release.
