Coroner IDs Woman, 42, Killed In Barrington Shooting
Olga Duchon of Vernon Hills died from a gunshot wound Sunday night, authorities said.
BARRINGTON, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified the 42-year-old woman fatally shot following a "a domestic-related incident between family members" in Barrington.
Olga Duchon, of the 800 block of Sagatuck Trail in Vernon Hills, was found with an apparent gunshot wound in the 400 block of West Russell Street at about 5:40 p.m. Sunday and was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital where she died in the emergency room, according to a news release from the Lake County Coroner's Office.
Preliminary results from an autopsy show she died from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the coroner's office. On Monday afternoon, police said there was no threat to the public following the shooting and referred to it as a "domestic-related incident between family members."
