Crystal Lake Teen Died From Single Gunshot To The Head

McHenry County Coroner Anne Majewski released autopsy report Wednesday morning.

“An autopsy performed yesterday on Adrian Salazar, 18, of Crystal Lake, IL., confirmed cause of death to be a single gunshot wound to the head,” the report states.

The report states that the manner of death is still under investigation, but the coroner believes it to be self-inflicted.

“Suicide is the third leading cause of death in those ages 15 to 24 in the United States,” the report states. “We at the Coroner’s Office pledge to continue to work with out partners to identify those at risk.”
