Hundreds Of Fish Added To Woods Creek And Goose Lakes

The Village of Lake in the Hills said the lakes are stocked once during the spring and once during the fall, every year.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Woods Creek and Goose lakes were stocked with over 800 fish last week, and hundreds more will be released into the lakes in a few weeks. According to the Village of Lake in the Hills, nearly 600 Walleye, 150 Northern Pike and 75 Tiger Muskie were released. The fish coming in a few weeks are an additional 700 Walleye, the Village said.

The Village added that they stock once during the spring and once during the fall, every year.

According to the Village, this recent stock was funded in part by a donation from the Sons of the American Legion — Lake in the Hills American Legion Post 1231 — and proceeds from the Connor Kincaid Memorial Fishing Tournament.
