Huntley Woman Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash On Christmas

ADDISON, IL — A Huntley woman died in a single-vehicle crash in Addison on Christmas morning.

Police said the 62-year-old Huntley woman was driving north on Villa Avenue near Lake Street at about 9:30 a.m. when it veered into the southbound lanes, left the road and crashed into a utility pole and a junction box.

The woman, who has been identified as Karen Davis of Huntley, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where she died, according to a Cook County Medical Examiner's Office report.

Preliminary results from an autopsy show she died from multiple injuries caused by a sports utility vehicle hitting a fixed object.
