Woman, 42, Dead; Barrington Police Investigate Shooting: Authorities
The 42-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound in the 400 block of West Russell Street Sunday night, police said.
BARRINGTON, IL — A 42-year-old woman is dead following a shooting that happened in Barrington over the weekend, police said.
The Barrington Police Department is investigating the shooting, which was reported at about 5:40 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of West Russell Street, according to a news release from the police department.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a woman with an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to the news release.

On Sunday night, residents were urged to avoid the area as police investigated the shooting. At that time, police said there was no threat to the public.
