How do you know this community leader?

He is the Founder and Bishop of The Lighthouse Church of All Nations in Alsip, IL

What does this community leader do?

He founded the ministry 46 years ago and has been a community leader and advocate in Chicago. Bishop Dan's mission is to break down walls of prejudice and racial differences, creating a multicultural and multigenerational ministry that has reached thousands of people throughout the years. He is an author, musician, and television producer and host but it is his love for Chicago that has driven him for nearly 50n years. His love for people and seeing lives changed is unmatched!

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

Bishop Dan has dedicated his life to tearing down the walls of racism. He has created a church that reflects nearly fifty different nationalities and ministers to all ages. He has been a "nail in a sure place" in Chicago, always choosing to stay and make a difference in the lives of those he serves. He is a true change-maker and we would love to celebrate him!

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

Loving people has always been his motivation and it shows in the lives of those whom his ministry has touched throughout the years!
