Alsip's Next Stars Invited To Enter 'Alsip's Got Talent'

ALSIP, IL — Do you have talent? Then show your friends how talented you are at Alsip’s Got Talent, which kicks off during the upcoming Alsip Fun Fest at the Apollo Recreation Center. The talent competition runs from 2 to 4 p.m. during the fun fest, Saturday, June 18.

The Alsip Park District’s version of “America’s Got Talent,” participants will have the chance to perform before a judge’s panel. Get to the final round and go home with cash in your pocket. Two $300 prizes will be awarded to the top performers in the youth division (15 and younger) and the adult division.

Each performer will be allotted three minutes to showcase their talents. The park district will provide one 20 amp circuit sound system or karaoke machine. Be sure to check your CD on a CD player, not on a computer, to avoid technical difficulties. Phones with auxiliary cords are accepted as well.

The winners get to be the lead singer in a live band/karaoke rock and roll band from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Complete the registration form and turn it in by Friday, June 10, at the Apollo Recreation Center, 12521 S. Kostner Ave.
