Pannenkoek, Shops, Dancing And More Highlight 29th Annual Elim Dutch Festival

Elim Christian Services Dutch Festival offers cuisine, Dutch shops, dancing, children's activities and culture Saturday, Sept. 27.

CRESTWOOD, IL — Join Elim Christian Services this Saturday, Sept. 27, for the 29th annual Dutch Festival on the main campus at 13020 S. Central Ave., Crestwood. The festival runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features Dutch cuisine, entertainment, shopping and children’s activities.

Enjoy a free (donations accepted) Pannenkoek “pancake” breakfast, followed by shopping at the farmers market and Elim’s Dutch Village shops that open at 8 a.m.

This year’s featured live entertainment includes Elim worship team Broken Halos, Midwest Dueling Pianos, Dutch “Wooden Show” dancers, Elim’s Worship Team and reptile shows. Kids will have their own special area that includes a petting zoo, train rides, pony rides and games.

The food court features traditional Dutch cuisine, including banket (pastries with almond filling), hutspot (beef and potatoes) and oliebollen (Dutch pastry), as well as American fare like pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs and more in case your kids don’t like hutspot.

All proceeds go to support the mission of Elim’s mission of equipping people with disabilities to pursue their God-given potential.
