CRESTWOOD, IL — The second annual Scarefest and Spooky Market will take over the strip mall at 127the Street and Central Avenue in Crestwood this Saturday, Oct. 22. Vendors will be lined the up and down the sidewalk from 2 to 10 p.m.

The event is being organized by Carrie Minet-Been, owner of Moonlight BEEN, 5561 W. 127th St., Crestwood. Minet-Been and her husband, Dave Been, are members of Chicago Haunt Builders. For 20 years, they've been turning their front lawn into Frightmare On Forestview. Many of the monsters Dave makes himself.

“It’s a way to bring Halloween to Crestwood,” Minet-Been said. “We’ll be raffling pff baskets with cool things I’ve been collecting the past couple years, like villain dolls.”

You can also pick up one of Dave’s homemade monsters. Minet-Been also hosts painting parties.
