Halloween Carnival And Trick-Or-Trunk Party Planned Saturday At Sears Park In Alsip

ALSIP, IL — There’s spooky fun to be had this Saturday, Oct, 25, at the Alsip Park District’s Halloween Carnival. The carnival gets going from 10 a.m. to noon, at Sears Park, 123rd and Trumbull.

Judges will pick the best costumes starting at 9:30 a.m. and announce winners at the carnival immediately following the parade. Children up to age 11 who have a ticket to the carnival may enter the parade. The haunted morning features a reptile show, games and prizes, hay rides, pumpkin patch , pumpkin decorating, inflatables and our personal favorite – ax throwing.

Pre-registration is required by Oct, 24. The cost for the carnival is $10 resident/$15 non-resident, and $20 on the day of the event. Use code 193601-A and pre-register at the park district website.

The park district will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for “Haunts Against Hunger.”

Immediately following the carnival, from noon to 1 p.m., there will be a free trick or trunk for the community. Children will be able to stroll the Halloween-decorated trunks to collect candy and other goodies.
