CRESTWOOD, IL — The Bolts are back! Your Windy City ThunderBolts open their 22nd Frontier League season at Crestwood's Ozinga Field, 14011 S. Kenton Ave., Thursday, May 12. The ThunderBolts begin 2022 with a seven-game home stand that includes opening night, two fireworks nights, Family Sunday, Value Tuesday and two School Days.

Below is your season opening home stand preview:

Opening Night, Thursday, May 12, 7:05 p.m. – The Bolts take on the Joliet Slammers to open the 2022 season. The first 500 fans 21 and over will receive a complimentary pint glass courtesy of Lakeshore Beverage. It’s also Thirsty Opening Night, which means amazing beer specials are served all night long, including $1 retro beers (Busch Light, Natural Light, Old Milwaukee), and $2.50 Bud, Bud Light, Mic Ultra, PBR and Old Style 16 oz cans and draft. All Seltzers and Craft Beer selections are just $3.75. (Beer specials not valid for 10:35 a.m. Thursday games) All kids can run the bases after every home game. Also, hang around postgame for wrestling, every Thursday night game during the 2022 season.

Fright Night with Postgame Fireworks, Friday, May 13, 7:05 p.m. – It’s the Bolts vs. Quebec Capitales. Halloween comes early for the Bolts vs. Quebec Capitales game, in what will be one of the scariest nights of the season. Wear your favorite Halloween costume to participate in the pregame parade at 6:30 p.m. (must be in line by 6:15). Candy will be available throughout the park for trick-or-treating. Famous horror movie scenes will be played on the video board (not too scary). In addition, watch out as lots of scary characters will be roaming throughout the park to keep you on your toes. Stick around after the game for the first fireworks show of the season.

Family Sundays, Sunday, May 15, 2:05 p.m. – Family Sundays are back, presented by JULIE, Inc. For just $39, families will receive 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 chips, 4 sodas, 4 ice cream cups AND your choice of 4 foam fingers, hats, pennants, softy balls or thundersticks. On top of the affordable ticket option, families will be able to enjoy face painting from Marvolus Faces and a fantastic in-game live animal presentation from Animals for Awareness, Dave DiNaso's Traveling World of Reptiles, and Big Run Wolf Ranch. After the game, all fans are allowed on the field to run the bases, play catch in the outfield and get autographs from your favorite ThunderBolts.

Value Tuesday, Tuesday, May 17, 7:05 p.m. – Two great deals on Tuesday night as all box seats and hot dogs cost just $2 each (deal not valid for 10:35 a.m. Tuesday day games)

School Days, Wednesday, May 18, and Thursday, May 19, 10:35 a.m. – All schools are invited to take their students out to the ballpark for a special field trip for the ThunderBolts’ annual school days.

Military Appreciation Day, Wednesday and Sunday — Also, every Wednesday and Sunday is Military Appreciation Day. Any veteran or active military member receives two tickets to that date’s game. Just walk up to the ballpark box office on the day of any Wednesday or Sunday home game and show your military ID.

Crestwood residents and businesses can also buy tickets at Crestwood Village Hall, 13840 S. Cicero Ave. or the Crestwood Recreation and Wellness Center, 5331 W. 135th St.
