Video: Shepard sends doubles partners to state in style

Raucous celebration today for juniors Rachel Habbal and Brooke Zielke.

This morning, Shepard High School hosted a celebratory send-off for doubles partners Brooke Zielke and Rachel Habbal as they get ready to leave for the IHSA state finals.

Brooke and Rachel, just juniors, produced the finest season in Shepard tennis history with a 22-1 record, South Suburban Conference Red Division championship, and third place finish at the IHSA sectional.

Shepard produced a fun, memorable event. Our sincere gratitude to tennis coaches Kelly Myron and Patrick O'Boye, Athletic Director Curry Gallagher, teacher Eric Kallenborn, band director Christopher Pitlik, and the Marching Astros for making this event so special for Rachel, Brooke, and their families.
