Worth Township Referendum To Abolish Road District Explained: Murphy
Patricia Joan Murphy asks residents for a YES vote on referendum

Dear Worth Township Residents,
When this current administration was elected to office, our main goal was to offer as many services to as many Worth Township residents as possible while being proper fiscal stewards. With this in mind, we passed a resolution to add a referendum question to appear on the November ballot.
A YES vote on this referendum would result in the abolishing of the Road District, currently a separate governing body, and replacing it with a Highway Department which will operate as a Department of the Township with NO SERVICES LOST.

The current Worth Township Board believes it makes sense to abolish the Road District and bring those services under the umbrella of the Township. In consolidating the Road District within the Township, we can operate more efficiently, eliminate redundancies, and operate under centralized management. This will give the Township meaningful oversight, authority, and the ability to ensure continuity of existing services with the possibility of service expansion.
While the Township cannot take an official position, I along with each current serving member of the Worth Township Board of Trustees, believe this is the right direction for our Township. The choice is up to you, the Worth Township voter. We are asking every resident to VOTE in this election either by mail, or by going to the polls at one of the early voting locations or on November 5th at your home polling place and vote for or against this referendum that appears on the ballot as follows:
