Worth Township Democrats Endorse Candidates In IL March Primary
Worth Township Democratic Organization announces endorsements for the March 19 Illinois Primary.

ALSIP, IL — The Worth Township Democratic Organization released its list of endorsed candidates in the upcoming March 19 Illinois presidential primary for county, judicial, state and federal races.
For the most part, the Worth Dems are following the line of the Cook County Democratic Party endorsements, sometimes known colloquially as the Democratic Organization or Regular Democratic Organizations.
With the exception of Cook County state’s attorney (the Cook County Dems have endorsed Clayton Harris III) the Worth Party Dems are endorsing Eileen O’Neill Burke, there are few surprises. Early voting starts Monday, March 4. The WDTO also broke from Cook County Dems in its endorsement of Jesse Reyes for Illinois Supreme Court, with the Cook County Dems endorsing Joy Virginia Cunningham

The WDTO is planning a candidate convention on Tuesday, March 5, where Worth Township residents can come to meet the endorsed candidates appearing on their primary ballots to become better-informed voters. The free event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sprinkler Fitters Local 281, 11900 S. Laramie Ave., Alsip. You can find out more about the WDTO candidate convention here.
“After careful consideration and thorough evaluation, the Worth Township Democratic Organization believes these endorsed candidates possess the qualifications and vision necessary to champion the needs of Worth Township residents and effectively serve in their respective offices,” Democratic Committeeperson Patricia Joan Murphy said in a news release. “We are proud to stand with these Democratic candidates running in the Illinois Primary.”
