1 Killed, 11 Hurt In 6-Vehicle Crash In Elk Grove Village
The Bloomingdale man who died in Saturday's accident had been on his way home from work.

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL — A Bloomingdale man was killed and nearly a dozen people were hurt in a six-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Elk Grove Village. Giuseppe Gazzano, 44, died in the accident, and he was identified by the Cook County medical examiner's office, according to ABC 7 Chicago.
The crash, which involved a dump truck and five passenger vehicles, happened at around 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30, near Arlington Heights Road and Meadow Court, the report stated. At the time of the accident, Gazzano had been driving home from his job in which he worked six days a week, the report added.
According to the Elk Grove Village Fire Department, 11 people were hospitalized following the accident, the Daily Herald reports. Their conditions have not been released, the report added.

Authorities also have not given a cause of the accident, which is still under investigation, the report stated. The crash shut down a stretch of Arlington Heights Road, which wasn't reopened until 6 p.m., the report added.
