$10K Bracelet Stolen From AH Assisted Living Facility: Police
The Arlington Heights Police Department responded to various reports of theft and other crime during the last part of October 2019.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The Arlington Heights Police Department responded to several theft and burglary reports in the last week. Among those reports was a retail theft incident reported at Kohl's in the 800 block of W. Dundee Road. According to police, between 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. Friday, two people hid merchandise on themselves before leaving the store and not paying for the items. The two thieves — a male and female — were last seen leaving the area in a white GMC Yukon with an Illinois license plate, according to police. The total retail value of the merchandise is $117.
Wallet theft:
According to police, two people were involved in stealing a person's wallet from their purse while the purse was inside a shopping cart between 7:40 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday at Marshall's in the 300 block of E. Rand Road. According to police, the two thieves are described as:

- 50-year-old black woman, wearing a chin length black wig
- 20-year-old black woman, with a pony tail and wearing a light green jacket
According to police, the younger woman distracted the victim while the older woman took the victim's wallet from the victim's purse. Police added that the credit card inside the wallet was later used fraudulently.

According to police, a thief or thieves took a display Apple Watch from the sales floor at an AT&T store in the 500 block of E. Palatine Road between 12 p.m. Thursday, and 4:39 p.m. Friday. Employees discovered the watch was missing during routine inventory, according to police. The Apple Watch is valued at $499.95.
$10,000 bracelet stolen:
According to police, a thief or thieves took a bracelet from someone's apartment at Luther Home Apartments, an assisted living facility in the 800 block of W. Oakton Street between 4:30 p.m., Oct 22, and 9:30 p.m., Oct. 23. Police said the bracelet is valued at $10,000.
Car burglary:
Between 4 a.m. and 10:17 a.m. Sunday, a burglar or burglars broke the glass of a front passenger -side window of a car parked in the victim's driveway in the 1600 block of E. Hawthorne Street, according to police. They got inside the car by breaking the glass, and took a radar detector valued at $450, police said.

The Arlington Heights Police Department asks anyone with information about these or any other serious crimes reported in Arlington Heights to submit an anonymous tip via text, by texting keyword 847AHPD and your message to 847411, or by calling Arlington Heights Crime Stoppers at 847-590-STOP (7967). Police add that callers are guaranteed anonymity and may qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
