The Arlington Heights Police Department recently completed enforcement activities relating to the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) designated Labor Day Enforcement Campaign. The campaign was conducted from August 19th, 2022 through September 6th, 2022. The primary focus was to identify and apprehend motorists who chose to drive while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, without using their safety belts, or were committing licensing, equipment or other miscellaneous Illinois Vehicle Code traffic violations.

Enforcement activities resulted in the following cumulative arrests and citations:
78 = Failure to Wear Seat Belt

87 = Cell Phone Use
31 = Registration-related Violations
5 = Speeding
4 = Child Safety Seats
1 = Driving Under Influence
1 = Revoked Drivers License
