Arlington Heights School Closings: Who Gets A Snow Day

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — In anticipation of the biggest snowstorm of the winter, schools in and around Arlington Heights already have begun announcing closings for Friday. Northern Illinois is expected to see at least a foot of snow by the time classes are scheduled to start around the area.
A winter storm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service from 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, until 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, for Will, Cook, DuPage and Lake counties. Between six to 10 inches of snow originally was expected during that time, but the forecast is calling for around 10 to 15 inches piling up.
