Chicago Bears, Mitch Trubisky To Practice At Prospect High School
A limited number of free tickets will be available Friday morning for the special training camp practice Aug. 17 in Mount Prospect.

MOUNT PROSPECT, IL — After Mitchell Trubisky's impressive preseason debut Thursday against the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears fans hope the team has finally found its future franchise quarterback. His performance certainly will have plenty of fans eager to get a closer look at the rookie, as well as the rest of this year's squad, when the Bears "take over" Prospect High School in Mouth Prospect for a special evening practice next week.
The training camp practice — the team describes it as a "spin on the popular high school 'Friday Night Lights' tradition — will run from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Aug. 17 at the high school, 801 W. Kensignton Road, Mount Prospect. A limited number of free tickets will be available at the Bears' website starting at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, and they will be capped at four tickets per person.
Gates will open at 4 p.m., and fans will be able to park for free at the Village of Mount Prospect City Hall garage, 50 S. Emerson St., and the Randhurst garage, 1 Randhurst Village Dr., beginning at 3:30 p.m. Complimentary shuttles will run continuously until 9 p.m. Tailgating, unfortunately, will not be allowed. The practice's start time is subject to change, and the event could be delayed or canceled because of weather. The Bears urge those fans who attend the practice to check the team's Twitter account for updates. Fans also can check the Bears' website for more information about the practice.
And in case you missed the Bears' 24-17 loss at Soldier Field, Trubisky stood out, going 18-of-25 for 166 yards with a touchdown and a quarterback rating of 103.1. It was a much better performance than the one turned in by veteran Mike Glennon, Chicago's current first-string QB. He went 2-for-8 for 20 yards with 0.0 passer rating.

If the game stats weren't sign of things to come, social media might also provided a glimpse at who might be leading the Bears sooner than expected. According to NFL Network, Trubisky was the top quarterback trending on Twitter of those playing preseason games Thursday. Glennon was the No. 2 QB. (In case you were wondering, the Bears actual No. 2 quaterback on the depth chart, Mark Sanchez, went 1-for-4 for 4 yard during limited playing time in the second quarter.)
