Coronavirus: Hospitality Business Grants Still Available
A total of $14 million in emergency Grant's are available for hospitality businesses.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The village of Arlington Heights is reminding hospitality businesses struggling to make ends meet through the coronavirus pandemic that emergency grant funding is available to help these businesses get through this crisis. The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity is offering $14 million to support payroll, rent, job training, retraining and technology. Grant applications are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Any bars or restaurants with a valid license to serve food or liquor and have generated revenues of less than $1 million in 2019 are eligible. Hotels with a valid license that have generated revenues of less than $8 million in 2019 also qualify.
Bars and restaurants making less than $500,000 last year will be eligible for up to $10,000, bars and restaurants making between $500,000 and $1 million last year will be eligible for up to $25,000 and hotels making less than $8 million last year will be eligible for up to $50,000.

Winners will be selected based on a lottery system. Selected businesses will be notified Saturday.
