Elk Grove Village Manufacturing Companies Receive Grants: Pritzker
In all, 29 small and mid-sized manufacturers across Illinois are receiving a combined $1.35 million in capital grant funding.
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL — Two local manufacturing companies were among 29 in the state to receive 2025 Made In Illinois grants. Gov. JB Pritzker's office made the announcement Wednesday, with a combined $1.35 million going to the small and mid-size manufacturers in Illinois.
The Elk Grove Village recipients are Atomic Industrial Machine, Inc. (13 employees) and Mothers Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes (23 employees).
"Illinois is a globally-recognized manufacturing hub and the Made in Illinois Program is designed to support the small and mid-size manufacturers that make up a crucial part of our economy," Pritzker said. "This grant program helps companies access resources to become more competitive, enhance economic development, attract capital, and bring jobs to communities across the state. I look forward to seeing how these manufacturers utilize the program to advance innovation in their field."

The capital grant funding is intended to drive innovation, efficiency, and growth in the state's vital manufacturing sector. The program is part of Illinois' broader commitment to support the state's manufacturers while bolstering the manufacturing ecosystem.
According to the company's website, Atomic Industrial Machine, Inc., located at 365 Kent Ave., is a specialist manufacture of precision machined components utilizing state-of-the-art CNC turning and milling facilities to deliver high quality, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

Formerly the Atomic Engineering Company, it was created in 1928. It has been a leader in the industry serving the packaging, pharmaceutical and food industries to name a few.
Located at 560 Bonnie Lane, Mothers' Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes is the region's only nonprofit milk bank, serving over 90 hospitals and thousands of families throughout Wisconsin and Illinois. The company is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit and is an accredited member of the Human Milk Banking Association of North America.
The Made in Illinois Grant Program, administered by IMEC with funding from DCEO, provides matching grants of up to $50,000 to help small and mid-sized manufacturers invest in strategic projects that fuel innovation, increase productivity, and enhance competitiveness. In 2025, the businesses awarded in Illinois have a combined 1,120 individuals supporting projects that represent a total investment of over $38.3 million statewide.
