Man Killed In Motel 6 Stabbing: Prospect Heights Police

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, IL — A man was fatally stabbed overnight at a motel in Prospect Heights, according to police.

Officers responded around 2 a.m. Sunday to a 911 call at Motel 6 in the 500 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, police said. When they arrived, they found the man suffering from a stab wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

A suspect who remained in the area was detained and is cooperating with the investigation, police said, adding preliminary information suggests the stabbing followed an argument involving the suspect, the victim and the victim’s friends.
