The man's body, which was discovered Wednesday afternoon, could have been in the water for about a month, police say.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Police say foul play isn't suspected concerning the body of a man found in an Arlington Heights pond Wednesday afternoon, according to the Daily Herald. Authorities were withholding the man's identity until his family was contacted, the report added.
The body was discovered around noon Wednesday, Feb. 21, by someone who worked at a business near the pond in the 600 block of East Golf Road, the report stated. Arlington Heights firefighters were contacted, and they pulled out the body, which was facedown in the water, the report added.
Another employee at a business near the pond told police that he had spotted the yellow jacket that was on the body about a month ago, but he thought it was debris at the time, the report stated. According to police, the body could well have been in the water that long, the report added.
