Police Search For Shooter In Daylight Schaumburg Shooting
Investigators are looking for one or possibly two suspects involved in Monday's incident in a Walgreens parking lot.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — A man ran into traffic and collapsed Monday after being shot in a Schaumburg store parking lot, according to the Daily Herald. Police were still hunting for the alleged shooter, but authorities say the public isn't in any danger, the report stated. Investigators said they are looking for one or possibly two suspects in the shooting, the report added.
The unidentified victim, who is thought to be in his 30s or early 40s, was shot in the chest, the report stated. He was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in serious condition, the report added.
The shooting happened at around 5:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, in the Walgreens parking lot in the 1100 block of Roselle Road. tnvestigators believe that the victim and another man had been arguing before the shooting, and they think the alleged shooter and the victim knew each other. Police identified a green truck as being involved in the broad daylight shooting, the report stated. A man apparently entered the truck and drove off in it hours after the shooting, the report added.
As part of the investigation, detectives already have checked security camera video, questioned witnesses and searched the area around the crime scene, the report stated. Police closed off Roselle Road with yellow crime scene tape that ran from the drug store parking lot to a part of a nearby Jewel parking lot across the street, the report added.
