Aurora Man Fatally Shot Brother During Argument: Prosecutors
Gabriel Garcia, 19, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the death of his brother, 21-year-old David Garcia.

AURORA, IL — Days after police said an Aurora man was shot and killed during a "family dispute," Kane County officials announced charges against his 19-year-old brother.
Gabriel Garcia is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the death of his brother, 21-year-old David Garcia, according to a news release issued by Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser and Aurora Chief of Police Keith Cross.
During the early morning hours of July 25, Mosser said the Garcia brothers were arguing when Gabriel Garcia pointed a handgun at David Garcia and fired a single shot.

David Garcia died of a gunshot wound to the chest, according to Kane County Coroner Rob Russell.
Police said a 911 call came in around 1:40 a.m. Monday, reporting a person shot inside a home in the 1800 block of West Illinois Avenue.

Bail for Gabriel Garcia was set at $3 million. He was taken into custody July 26 by the U.S. Marshal's Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force.
He is next scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 12.
