32 Charges Issued For Aurora Man Accused Of Owning Child Sexual Abuse Material
The 25-year-old was accussed of disseminating, producing and possessing child sexual abuse material, police said.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man faces 32 charges after he was accused of possessing child sexual abuse material, police said Tuesday.
Aurora police began investigating Jose E. Delacruz, 25, after receiving information about suspected possession of illegal material involving children through a national reporting system.
After a months-long investigation, detectives identified Delacruz, of the 1970 block of Tall Oaks Drive in Aurora, as a suspect.

The Kane County State's Attorney's Office reviewed Delacruz's case, and he was charged with 11 counts of dissemination of child sexual abuse material, two counts of production of child abuse material and 19 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
"These cases are complex and require careful, methodical investigative work," Chief Matt Thomas said in a statement. "The behavior involved is deeply harmful, and our investigators approach these cases with a focus on accountability and, above all, protecting victims. While these investigations often take time, they remain a priority for our department."

Police said they will not release additional information about the case "due to the sensitive nature of these offenses and to protect the privacy of victims."
Delacruz remains in custody at the Kane County jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 7.
