Aurora Men Endangered Toddler During Reckless Driving Crash: Cops

Police said they had just responded to a domestic incident when two men drove off with the 3-year-old and struck multiple other vehicles.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said two Aurora men were arrested early Saturday morning after their vehicle crashed into multiple other vehicles and they failed to restrain a 3-year-old child who was in the vehicle. Police said deputies responded to 2400 Light Road for a domestic violence report to learn that Eduardo Berber, 20, and Erik Perez, 18, had left the scene with Berber's 3-year-old son.

Police said a vehicle driven by Perek struck multiple other vehicles while leaving the parking lot of the Light Road apartment complex just after 5 a.m. Saturday.

Berber and Perez were located and detained by members of the Oswego and Montgomery police departments, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. Both men were arrested, although no charges were filed in connection to the domestic incident, police said.
