Aurora student named to summer 2024 dean's list at Georgia State University

Thavaisya Ananth, of Aurora (60502), was named to the Summer 2024 Dean's List at Georgia State University.

To be eligible for the Dean's List during the summer semester, degree-seeking students with a minimum Georgia State cumulative GPA of 2.00 must earn a 3.50 GPA for the semester and complete at least 6 semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.

Student from Aurora makes summer 2024 president’s list at Georgia State University

Yixin Wei, of Aurora (60502), was named to the Summer 2024 President's List at Georgia State University.

To be eligible for the President's List during the summer semester, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 4.0 for a minimum of six semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

Local student named UW-Whitewater resident assistant

Ben Bland, from Aurora, who is studying General Business, was named a resident assistant (RA) at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for the 2024-25 academic year.

RAs are part-time student staff members who live in the residence halls with students, serve as a resource and positive role model, and help build a sense of community by hosting floor events.

RAs at UW-Whitewater reinforce the university's mission to provide a welcoming, safe and inclusive place where students, faculty and staff champion one another.

2024 UW-Whitewater volleyball roster included Aurora student

Emma Bludgen, a human performance major from Aurora, IL, who graduated from Metea Valley High School, is a member of the 2024 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team, which is comprised of a balanced mix of accomplished returners, experienced transfers and talented freshmen.

The Warhawks entered the 2024 campaign ranked 10th in the first American Volleyball Coaches Association poll of the season. UWW's schedule is one of the toughest in the nation -- 13 opponents were ranked or receiving votes in the preseason top 25, including three in the top 10.

Student from Aurora named to SNHU dean’s list

Nastasha Prunty of Aurora (60506) has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's Summer 2024 Dean's List. The summer terms run from May to August.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Belmont University announces fall 2024 dean's list honorees

Coleman Counihan, of Aurora, was named among the students who qualified for Belmont University's fall 2024 Dean's List. Belmont University recently released the Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester. Approximately 53% of the University's 7,175 undergraduate students qualified for the fall 2024 Dean's List.

"Earning a place on the Dean's List is an accomplishment that reflects the dedication, talent and resilience of our students who maintain competitive GPAs while concurrently making lasting contributions at Belmont and beyond," said Belmont University Provost Dr. David Gregory. Dean's List eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
