"Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the driver during this heartbreaking time," Aurora Police Chief Keith Cross said in a statement. "This incident serves as a reminder that even minor slush or moisture can create hazardous conditions — especially in colder temperatures. We urge all drivers to slow down, remain alert, and adjust their driving to winter road conditions to help prevent tragedies like this."
