Pregnant Mom, 4 Kids Located Safe: Aurora Police
The WGN crew reportedly spotted the woman and her children while reporting live from the scene.
AURORA, IL — Hours after reportedly issuing a child abduction alert, Aurora police confirmed that a pregnant mother and four children who were reported missing have returned safely to their home. "We are working with the family to make sure the appropriate resources are available to them," police said Friday morning.
WGN said reporter Nancy Loo was covering the story live from the family's home Friday morning when the mother and four children — along with the family dog — pulled up in front of the house. Loo called 911 and Aurora police responded to the home.
The mother told WGN she had no idea there was a police alert and called the incident a “huge misunderstanding," according to the outlet.
