Shop With A Cop Returns To Meijer This Weekend

AURORA, IL — The Aurora Police Department will host its annual "Shop With a Cop" event Saturday at Aurora's Meijer.

This year's "Shop with a Cop" is set to take place from 9-11:30 a.m. at the supermarket, 808 Route 59. Police said they expect 40-50 people to participate in the shopping excursion.

The event pairs officers with children who don't typically have the resources to buy or receive Christmas gifts, officials said. Through the effort, police aim to foster positive interactions with local youth.
