Driver Who Crashed Into Rosati's Pizza May Have Had Medical Issue: Batavia Police
Two people were injured after a driver, 77, mistakenly put the car in drive and crashed into the pizza shop, according to police.

BATAVIA, IL — A car crashed into Rosati's Pizza on Christmas Eve, injuring two employees, Batavia police said.
Police believe the 77-year-old driver may have been experiencing a medical issue at the time of the crash, according to a news release.
Officers were dispatched at 2:30 p.m. to the pizzeria, 322 E. Wilson St., where a Jeep Cherokee slammed through the front of the restaurant. The preliminary investigation suggests the driver arrived at Rosati's to pick up his order, and when he began to leave, he had mechanical issues with the gear shift and mistakenly put the car in drive, officials said.
