Undercover Sting Catches Local Man Soliciting Sex From Teen: Sheriff
When the man arrived at a location thinking he would meet the teen whom he'd been talking to online, investigators took him into custody.

NORTH AURORA, IL — A North Aurora man was taken into custody after an undercover investigation uncovered that he attempted to engage in illegal sexual acts with a child, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators from the Cook County Sheriff's Police Special Victims Unit posted an advertisement on a website known for hosting commercial sex-related ads. While posing as a 16-year-old, Gregory White, of the 300 block of Dee Road, reached out and began engaging in explicit text conversations over the next few days.
The 63-year-old White requested and sent sexually explicit photos, videos and messages. He then arranged to meet the teen with the intent of engaging in sexual acts, officials said.

On Feb. 17, White arrived at the agreed-upon location. He was met by investigators and immediately taken into custody without incident, according to a news release. After he was told his Miranda rights, officials said White said he had planned to engage in sexual acts with the teen, who he believed was 16 years old.
The following day, the Cook County State's Attorney's Office approved four felony charges against White: attempted aggravated criminal sexual abuse, indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a minor and manufacturing harmful material.
