Victim Shot In Aurora, Person Of Interest In Custody: Police

The shooting happened in the 1000 block of North Lake Street.

AURORA, IL — Aurora police said a person of interest was in custody Thursday evening after a gunshot victim was found in the 1000 block of North Lake Street.

Police said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident. No information on the victim's condition was given.

"This is an ongoing investigation and updates will be provided as soon as they are available," police said in a statement just before 5 p.m.
