1 Person Dies in High-Speed I-90 Crash Thursday
A speeding van plowed into a construction area on the tollway, according to officials, striking a tow truck. The van driver died.

One person died and another was injured in a crash on I-90 westbound near Hoffman Estates around 1 a.m. Thursday. The crash involved a van and a tow truck in a construction zone. The lanes were closed but were cleared and open by 6 a.m. as the morning commute began, however.
