• Boys & Girls Clubs Launch $13.2M Woodlands Center Renovation (ccr-mag.com) — Barrington middle and high school students will soon gain access to a renovated 40,000-square-foot Woodlands Impact Center, designed to serve 550 teens from Barrington and Carpentersville with after-school, summer, and daytime programs. The $13.2 million Boys & Girls Clubs project will add labs, a gym, and a community resource center, expanding services already offered in District 220 schools and across nearby suburbs.
   

• Jacobs loses to Larkin in Hinkle Holiday Classic opener (shawlocal.com) — Barrington’s boys basketball team is set to face Larkin in the Hinkle Holiday Classic quarterfinals Monday at 6 p.m., after Larkin beat host Jacobs 73-60. Larkin forced 28 turnovers and turned them into 22 layups, led by standout performances from Jahvion Sowers and Jayden Bailey, while Jacobs’ Elijah Bell scored 20 in the loss.
