Barrington Brew Fest

Regional craft breweries
will pour at the tenth annual Barrington Brew Fest, Saturday, July 13, from 3-7
p.m. Enjoy live music, tasty food and a bean bag tournament while sampling the
best of the brews.

The event will again be held in the Fourth
of July tent by the Metra station in downtown Barrington. Nearly 50 craft brewers
from the Midwest as well as from other parts of the country are expected. Food vendors
will include McGonigal’s Pub, Big Iron Horse BBQ, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and
Gilbert’s Craft Sausages. Music will be provided by Second Time Around. The
fest will also feature a bean bag tournament, cosponsored with Barrington Local 3481 Firefighters and Paramedics, and
a 50/50 raffle.

All proceeds will benefit the Barrington
Area Council on Aging. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 on the day of the
event. The ticket price includes a tasting glass and 20 brew samplings. Additional
tickets for samplings will be available for 50 cents each. The first 650
attendees at the gate will also receive a free Brew Fest t-shirt. A designated
driver ticket is also available for $20 and includes unlimited soft drinks and
a tasting glass.

This year, the fest will also offer a
limited number of VIP tickets for $80, which will allow holders admission at
2:30 p.m. and includes samplings of selected premium craft brews, a selection
of food samplings from Whole Foods Market; and a voucher for food from one of
Brew Fest’s food sponsors, as well as a tasting glass and t-shirt.
