Barrington Woman Dead; Man in Custody Friday Morning

A 59-year-old Barrington woman is dead and a 65-year-old man is in police custody Friday morning following an incident at their home, according to police.

Officers were called to a home in the 400 block of North Cook Street in Barrington at 12:42 a.m. and found the woman with “significant injuries,” according to a police statement. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.

Charges are pending. The Cook County Major Case Assistance Team and the Lake County Coroner’s Office are assisting Barrington Police in the investigation.
