Fourth of July Parade Grand Marshal Named

The Barrington Fourth of July Parade has made its pick for this year's Grand Marshal: North Barrington resident Elaine Silets.

The Grand Marshal for the 2013 Barrington Fourth of July Parade has been named, the Daily Herald reports.

North Barrington resident Elaine Silets has been chosen for the honor. Silets is a designer and manufacturer of model railroads and garden railways. The newspaper reports her commitment to education and arts is one of the reasons she was given the title.
