Batavia Teens Can Work Out For Free This Summer At Planet Fitness
Teens between the ages of 14 and 19 can work out for free starting May 16. Planet Fitness has locations in Aurora and St. Charles.

BATAVIA, IL — This summer, it'll be extra easy for Batavia teenagers to work out. Planet Fitness, with locations near Batavia in St. Charles and Aurora, is offering free workouts to teens between the ages of 14 and 19.
The free program is part of the gym's "High School Summer Pass" membership. All teens have to do is enter their information online, sign up for a pass and download the Planet Fitness app to get their digital key tag.
Participants will be able to visit the gym whenever they want and as often as they want. The only caveat is they can only work out at the location they sign up for. In St. Charles, Planet Fitness is located at 2065 Lincoln Highway. In Aurora, locations are at 954 N. Lake St. and at 4306 E. New York St.

The free membership will kick off Monday and last through Aug. 31.
Making the offer a little sweeter, all teens who sign up this summer will be entered for a chance to win a $500 scholarship as well as a $5,000 grand prize scholarship, according to a news release. The scholarships will be able to be used for academic or athletic activities or programs.

"As the leader in fitness, we believe we have a responsibility to provide a welcoming, safe, and Judgement Free environment for high school students to improve their physical and mental wellness, particularly given the challenges they have and continue to face in the wake of the pandemic," Chris Rondeau, chief executive officer at Planet Fitness, said in a statement.
