Kane County Teacher Pleads Not Guilty in Sexual Assault Case
The 43-year-old Oswego resident was charged with nine felony counts of criminal sexual assault and two felony counts of child pornography.

Glen C. Baum entered not guilty plea in Kane County Court on April 23, the Kane County Chronicle reported. In February, he was charged with nine felony counts of criminal sexual assault and two felony counts of child pornography.
“Baum is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old between May 2014 and January 2015,” the Kane County Chronicle reported. “He instructed high school students in fire science at that time, and the teen reportedly was one of his students.”
Baum was a contracted service provider at the Fox Valley Career Center. The Kane County Chronicle reported that he was terminated Jan. 14, according to Kaneland School District 302.

His bond is set at $250,000 despite his attempt to reduce it in February.
His wife bailed him out by posting the required $25,000 bail on April 2, the Kane County Chronicle reported.

His next court date is June 11.
