Board chair Ryan Whitehouse recently died and was succeeded by trustee Julie Hile, while Deputy Managing Director Brady Lange will handle day-to-day operations during the transition. No additional personnel details were released.

• Bloomington considers trolley, parking fixes amid downtown work (centralillinoisproud.com) — Downtown Bloomington could see a trolley-style system and new parking options as the city looks for ways to help people get around during major construction. Mayor Dan Brady says officials are exploring a partnership with Connect Transit and converting demolished building sites into free parking, with a detailed parking map already available on the city’s website.

• Komets beat Bison, remain in first place (wane.com) — Bloomington hockey fans saw a tight matchup Wednesday as the visiting Fort Wayne Komets rallied to edge the hometown Bison 4–3, despite Bloomington leading early. The loss keeps the Bison four points behind Fort Wayne in the ECHL Central Division race, with Bloomington’s squad surrendering a late third-period game-winner.
