• Blue Island Man On Parole Faces New Firearm, Drug Charges After Home Check: Police (patch.com) — A Blue Island resident on parole is facing new felony firearm and drug charges after Cook County Sheriff’s officers say they found a loaded gun and suspected cannabis during a home compliance check. Investigators reported seizing ammunition, packaging materials, and a weapon from his home and vehicle, and the man is now in Cook County Jail on both new charges and a parole violation.
