Adopt Me: Jack (and Jill) Need a Home

Meet Jack.

Jack came to me from a pound in southern Illinois and has one of the worst cases of mange that I have ever seen.

Mange is a mite that lives in the hair follicles of dogs and makes them lose their hair. It is also very itchy for the dogs and usually results in a secondary infection.

This poor guy is covered in scabs and gaping, oozing pustules. But despite all the pain he is in, he still tries to wag his tail and has never once show the slightest sign of being aggressive.

A local veterinarian is treating him and thinks he will make it, but admitted it will be along recovery.

Jack also has a sister, who also has mange and is still in the pound. From what I hear, she is not as bad as Jack, but still in need of a caring home.
