BOLINGBROOK, IL — A structure fire was reported Monday in the 200 block of Brookwood Lane in Bolingbrook, the Bolingbrook Fire Department said on its Facebook page.
"Firefighters moved quickly to bring the fire under control and prevent further damage to the home," the fire department said. "There were no injuries to residents or firefighters, which is always the goal of every response. The cause of the fire remains under investigation."
The fire department said this incident highlights the importance of working smoke detectors.
